About the Area

The Northern Area of the Flinders Ranges, from Port Pirie North, is very unique in its locality situated between East, West, North and South of Australia.

The area is very versatile with many different types of rural production. Income is available from many agricultural pursuits -ranging from Cereal growing, Hay production, Livestock Grazing, Livestock Feed lotting, Horticulture, Aquaculture etc., with some properties having the advantage of participating in almost each type of production.

The climate is very comfortable, making it a very pleasant place to reside and enjoy.

Tourism is a large contributor to the local economy, with possibly some of the most scenic places to visit in Australia or the World. The Flinders Ranges are renowned worldwide, drawing tourists from all over Europe and around Australia to the area daily.

The area has four major cities within its boundary, numerous large and smaller regional townships all offering country style relaxation and a pleasant lifestyle.

The area is also complimented with working mineral deposits creating large amounts of employment in areas such as Copper, Gold, Byraties, Opals, Coal, Diamond, Iron Ore etc.
